Darleen's Mountain

Darleen's Mountain, Upper Marsh Fork, Canning River
Alkyd on birch panel

After a 10:00 p.m. dinner at our campsite, painting companion darleen masiak led a five hour hike to and from the mysterious promontory that beckoned to us during the twenty-four hours of light. A golden bear appeared in the distance as we returned. The mountain still mesmerizes me.
